Clear As Plastic!

Yehey! Finally! My own clear swag bag from BEABI! I’ve been eyeing this bag since December when I saw it in one of the BEABI stores. You know how you want something but don’t really want to spend for it, just yet? This was one of them!

So I grabbed the chance to include it in my wishlist for a super delayed Christmas party which we had last weekend. Lo and behold, my Secret Santa gave it to me (Thanks Ed and Cat!). I was super happy!

Now, to start dumping my weekend stuff into one single bag! Happiness!

Ps. The chocolates inside the bag are for my husband. :p

Want To Know A Secret???

Aha! If you’re reading this blog post right now, it just shows how interested you are in knowing someone else’s secret (aka TSISMOSA). Haha! :p And I am quite sure my friends who are part of The Breakfast Club are the first few ones who’s checking this one out now (roll call : Aia, Elaine and Myra) :D

Sorry girls, this post is not about my secrets but I think you’ll find it interesting as well :)

I found this book in Amazon when I was just searching thru the titles and I thought of it as ‘quite interesting’. I checked in Fully Booked and super greatness, they have it!

So what is PostSecret all about?

<Wikipedia> PostSecret is an ongoing community mail art project, created by Frank Warren, in which people mail their secrets anonymously on a homemade postcard. Select secrets are then posted on the PostSecret website, or used for PostSecret’s books or museum exhibits.

Interesting huh?

Here are some of the pages which I find interesting and funny :)

It’s always good to recycle ;)

Eeeps!

Sing with me! Rhythm is gonna get’cha. Rhythm is gonna get’cha. Rhythm is gonna get you. The rhythm is gonna get you tonight!

20120210-184831.jpg
I’ve never done this. Have you?

Some made me reminisce as I was in the same situation once while others were quite disturbing. I really think this book will make a great coffee table book. :)

If you were to send your own postcard, what would you write?

Last Shoe-rrah for 2011

Okay, I tried my best to find the perfect title for this post. I initially wrote “Last Hurrah for 2011″ and thought of changing it :) I tried. Haha!

Moving on… I love shoes and I just couldn’t stop buying them (baaaaad!). So here are the last 2 pairs of shoes I got for myself for 2011.

First pair, my very own, Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66!

I gave my husband a pair of Mexico 66 last Valentine’s Day and it automatically became one of his favorite sneakers. So, after months of thinking, I decided to give in and got myself my own pair :)

20120207-213228.jpg

Pros : I love how they look and they are really cute and comfortable!

Cons : I don’t know why but it seems to be eating up my socks at the back — maybe I’m wearing the wrong kind of socks… we’ll see :D

Second pair, ooooh… I just love these boots! My Steve Madden Graanie boots in stone leather!

I. AM. SO. IN. LOVE. WITH. THESE. BOOTS! LOVE. LOVE. LOVE!

Remember my first pair of Steve Madden boots? They look similar, except that these came with heels! Since I’m just 5’2″, I really need the extra height at times :)

20120207-213256.jpg

** I can’t seem to capture the real color of these boots but to give you an idea, it was more of a greyish brown in color.

Pros :

1. I love how chunky the heels are which makes them comfortable to walk in the whole day.

2. I love the leather as well as the ‘worn out’ look it has.

3. I love it. Period.

Cons : NONE :)

Ps. I also got these boots in black. Teehee… Will post a photo of it once I receive it :D

Rainbow Connection

Oh my! I actually forgot to blog about this! Anyway, this was how my nails looked like last holiday season. :)

I’m so so in love with this nail polish from OPI (Holiday 2011 Muppets Collection Rainbow Connection). They look so festive! Perfect for the holiday season :)

20120206-223629.jpg

Makes me want to sing… “Why are there so many, songs about rainbows…”

Notes:
1. I applied 4 coats to achieve full coverage of my nails. Applied top coat after.
2. You might need to “position” some of the glitters to ensure coverage ;)
3. The glitters are made of really thin “foils” which makes them dry up pretty flat (which is soooo good!)
4. I love the color combination of the glitters
5. Similar to other glitter nail polish, they are quite difficult to remove. As in! — which makes them last longer on your nails too! :D

Cruising Through 2012

Well, this blog entry won’t be the usual list of my 2012 resolutions (as I never get to keep them, pfft! So why even bother! Haha!) but it will “feature” my weekend companion for the rest of 2012 :)

Tadaaaa! My surprise Christmas gift from my husband! Woohooooo! I was sooo happy when he brought me to the corner behind the Christmas tree where he hid my new White Giant Suede W cruiser bike (don’t ask me how I wasn’t able to see a big bike hidden behind the Christmas tree — talk about a girl who seems to be walking around with horse blinders, except when she’s inside the mall, haha!)

Guys, meet CALLI :)

So the following Saturday, my husband and I went for a bike run! My first time to actually bike on the busy roads of our neighborhood (my husband used to load my bike in the car, drive somewhere with less cars, and that’s where I safely bike around, hehe!)! It was scary biking alongside cars and crazy jeepneys but it was F-U-N!!!

Calli on her first bike run :)

Life has definitely been good to me, filled with laughter and happiness. 2011 was definitely one of my best years, professionally and personally :) I thank the Lord for that ;)

Oh! Remember my blog entry about the Top 5 4 Things I Want for 2011? — it was more of just the top 4 things as I wasn’t able to fill in the 5th item — I GOT ALL 4! Yey! Which makes me think, maybe I should have filled up the 5th slot with “you-know-what” (my close friends would know what this is). I could have gotten it! Tsk! Tsk! :(

Come to think of it, I think I’ll really just cruise through 2012 :) Now, to create my top 5 list for 2012…

Ps. My in-laws told me that I shrieked louder than my husband’s nephews when I saw my bike. Imagine a little girl who just got her first Barbie doll ;) Teehee!

Day 26 : Something Old

Wow! Last 5 days for my 30-day photo challenge! :) I can do this!!! (Take note: I started this challenge last October.  Haha!  My friends, Aia and Elaine are done with theirs!  Panic!)

I had a lot of items in mind to take a photo of for today’s challenge but when I saw this item, I knew this should be the star of my post for today :)

Tadaaaa!!! Presenting, my memo jazz pager!

Ooooh! I remember how cool it was having this tiny pager while others were still using the big-black-laundry-soap sized ones. :D Before it became “call me”, “text/sms me”, “bbm me” and “tweet me”, it was “PAGE ME”!

*original belt loop chain, still attached. Haha!

TOMS is Giving in the Philippines

I’ve always been a big fan of TOMS eversince my friend, Aia, introduced them to me.  To date, I personally have 4 pairs of TOMS (which are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever had) — and I think my collection will still grow in the years to come :)

Today, I got this email from TOMS and it’s their time to share their One for One movement to my country.  I’m just glad that it has finally reached the Philippines (with We International Philippines as their giving partner).

You can view their video from this link.  Really so heartwarming…

It’s nice to know that somehow, with my own 4 pairs of TOMS, I was able to give 4 kids their own comfortable TOMS which will last them quite awhile.

Happy to be able to put some smiles on kids’ faces this Holiday Season :)

Read my previous blog posts on TOMS here and here.

Go Azkals! Hello Beckham!

I’m sure you’ve seen a lot of photos from yesterday’s Dream Cup 2011 (Phl Azkals vs LA Galaxy) game but I’m also sure you’d want to see more :)

When I heard about the news that Beckham’s coming to Manila, I immediately told my husband that I would want to watch the game (Yeah right! The game or the players?!) Azkals plus David Beckham? Why not!!!

Luckily, we were able to watch it last night, LIVE and almost up close :)

20111204-144905.jpg

We got there early, around 6:10pm as kick-off was gonna start at 7:00pm. I was really excited!

20111204-140319.jpg

Then of course, I made sure I took A LOT of photos of David Beckham. God knows when I’ll see him again in person! Here are some of the photos I took. Take note — some :)

20111204-144546.jpg

AND THE FINALE! I almost sang “It’s raining men! Alleluia!” Haha! I’m sure a lot of girls were waiting for this part of the “game”!

20111204-145116.jpg

I really had a lot of fun! I got a little dizzy from all the shouting (or was it more of shrieking?)!!! It was indeed a fun experience! Happiness!

Here are a few more photos (with my super big smile) and of course, I made sure I took photos of our very own, Phil and James Younghusband :) Go Azkals!!!

20111204-145343.jpg

Ps. It wasn’t easy capturing football players using a point and shoot camera. Even before my camera got to focus on them, they were already on the other side of the field! Haha! — gotta get myself a better camera :p
