As I have mentioned in my blog post the other day, my Husband and I had the priviledge of watching two of the boy bands I grew up listening to, New Kids On The Block (NKOTB) and Backstreet Boys (BSB).

It was really a fun fun fuuuuuun night! The front act started at exactly 8pm (Honestly, they could have gotten a better front act. I don’t even know who the first 3 performers were! Good thing, JayR, coined as The Philippines’ King of R&B, performed after! He was the only one I knew from the two sets of front acts) — and the REAL party started at 9pm. Woohooo! Time to start the party!!!
Seeing NKOTB and BSB in one stage is one thing BUT seeing them LIVE and just 7 rows away was really something! They all still looked so cute, a little older — of course, but still oh-so-cuuuute *dreamy eyes*
They performed for around 2 1/2 hours, non-stop, with matching wonderful stage lights, effects, amazing cameramen who knew when to focus on what (insert Donnie Wahlberg’s abs here) which the audience can see on the majorly clear LCD screens!
BSB even picked 4 girls to whom they’ll serenade to (lucky!). Why oh why didn’t they pick me? Why?!?! :p Well, if they did picked me, I would have shrunk into the size of a pea due to shyness and just flicked myself up on stage. Haha! 😀 😀 😀
The concert was one big party. NKOTB and BSB seemed to be having lots of fun performing for the crowd — Nick Carter being dancing the night away, AJ McLean taking off his pants and revealing a leopard printed cycling shorts, Joey McIntyre and Jordan Knight being amazingly cute and of course, who could ever forget Donnie Wahlberg’s abs! Oooh-la-la! Haha! I swooned and got all teen-giddy the whole night! Whew!
All I can say is, I miss listening to boy band music. I miss getting all giddy just seeing NKOTB or BSB on MTV and loudly singing along with them. I miss dancing like no one is looking. I just miss being a teenager. 🙂
I was on extreme “high” from all the screaming, dancing, singing and jumping I did for the whole night even after we got home! It was indeed a perfect way to drop everything and just enjoy! It was Aaaaah-mazing! Woohoo!
Here’s a short video of Backstreet Boys’ performance of “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” performance 🙂 Click here.
