I’m Ready For Summer!

I love summer especially if I get to spend most of it in the beach 🙂

But I think this year’s summer is going to be different. I think most of it will be spent at home due to a lot of reasons — Lexi giving birth to a super duper cute baby, Harper (I’m now a Grandma! So happy!), My Life On Paws (in case you don’t know, I bake human-grade, pet safe and healthy treats for your furry babies. Follow us on Instagram @mylifeonpaws and on Facebook), housewife and wife duties, and a whole lot more!

Despite that, of course, I still know that I’m going to enjoy summer. Why? Because of cute summery things like this pair of happily colored shoes from Pinky Toes 🙂

I have always loved their Stacey design (see previous blog entry here) and I’m still loving it now 🙂

Thanks to Pinky Toes for making me love this year’s summer more! 🙂

Ps. Did I mention that they’re so comfortable???

012713 What I Wore : Hotel Living Part 2 ;)

Well, this is a continuation of my post yesterday

We went down for breakfast at HEAT at exactly 7am as we heard that the hotel is fully booked. So, to avoid the crowd, we decided to get up early for breakfast.

I really love hotel breakfasts. I don’t know why but I just do. Maybe it’s the thought of being able to pick the food which would match my mood as I get up or something. 🙂

Bacon, hungarian sausages, waffles with cream and maple syrup, hash browns with horseradish and dijon mustard, toasted wheat bread with butter plus coffee, how can you say no to that?!? 🙂

Anyway, I knew I was going to have a relaxing night so this is what I packed and wore… perfect for a laid back Sunday 🙂

Floral Lace Coral skirt – Forever21
Wedge Sneakers – Topshop
Accessories – Pandora

Kudos to me, I packed light for this overnight stay and settled for just wearing the same pair of shoes. Bow! Haha!

012613 What I Wore : Hotel Living :)

I really love weekends! Who doesn’t!? Weekends mean, time with my husband as well as time with my family 🙂

This weekend, I have coined it as my “hotel living” weekend. Why? Just because our whole weekend will be spent inside hotels 🙂

First stop for today, lunch at Paseo Uno,  Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Makati City with my in laws ♥

I intentionally skipped breakfast so I can pig out during lunch! How piggy was that!?! Oink! Oink! And since I was so hungry, I wasn’t even able to take photos of what I ate, except for my yummy dessert.

After our hearty lunch, we hopped on to our next hotel, Edsa Shangri-La Hotel in Mandaluyong City, to check-in and spend a relaxing night in. 🙂

Here’s how our Deluxe room looks like 🙂 I just love hotel beds. Haaay…

Before leaving for dinner, vanity struck, so this is what I wore 🙂

111112 What I Wore : HK Trip Day 4

The last day of our fun fun fuuuun trip.  With no shopping budget left (haha!), what else is there to do but to just go around Hong Kong, take photos and of course, chit-chat some more over coffee.

My sister, my partner, my forever friend! :)

111012 What I Wore : HK Trip Day 3

Oh! I can’t believe I forgot to post Day 3 and Day 4 from this trip!  Now, to catch up on my postings… 😀

Since we basically finished our Day 1 and Day 2 budget and itinerary, Day 3 was spent just walking around, chit-chatting, laughing, eating (oh-so-yummy Din Tai Fung!) and spending more time chit-chatting in Starbucks!

Non-stop chit-chatting!

110912 What I Wore : HK Trip Day 2

Day 1 was spent eating and shopping in Hong Kong with my friend, Jack.  Day 2 was nothing different but still FUUUUN!  Of course, what else is there to do in Hong Kong but to eat and enjoy their yummy food and shop for great deals in all the stores you get to pass along the way (shopping is so convenient in HK, I’m glad I don’t live there as I’ll end up not saving even a single cent!  Haha!)

I never miss having at least one breakfast in McDonald’s Hong Kong! Yum!

Some of the food we enjoyed in HK!

We finished our 4-day itinerary (and 4-day trip budget) in 2 days!  Are we cool (or more of poor?) or what?!?!  Haha!

Here, There, Everywhere!

This is what I wore on Day 2.  I just had to include the human sized lego photos I took while we were at Times Square, Causeway Bay.  They are sooooo cute!  They were still setting it up when we were there and I’m sure they’ll be so much cooler once they’re done!  I can’t wait to see the whole set-up next month!

Knitted Sweater – Forever 21

Inner White Shirt – H&M Divided

Denim Skirt – Mango

Brown Bag – United Colors of Benetton

Boots – Steve Madden

Finally! My Dr. Martens! Looooove!

I have always wanted a pair of Dr. Martens ever since I was in grade school.  It was the ‘must have’ shoes back then but it was something I never got as my Dad thought it was quite expensive to have and use as school shoes (which I totally agree). 😀

Now, after X number of years and seeing the DM’s floral collection, I fell in love with these Airwair with Bouncing Soles all over again…

The pair which made me want to have one at this age.  Aren’t they just cute?!?

What really stopped me from getting them before was the impression of the sole being too heavy.  So when I went to Hong Kong last week, I decided to drop by their store to try them on and see for myself.

To my surprise, they are not heavy at all and they are so comfortable!  It’s either they improved on the sole from years ago or I was completely wrong with my impression 🙂  Happiness!

Here was the first pair I tried on as I’m really a sucker for florals 🙂

It was sooo cute!  It even matched the outfit I was wearing that day — too bad, no photos allowed in the store 😦

After a few hours (yes, I think my friend, Jack, and I spent at least an hour in the store), I decided to go with a safer option (as I think DMs lasts forever!) but still not give up on having a pair of ‘floral boots’.

This is what I ended up getting — basic black with subtle red floral print.  They actually make the boots look rugged and worn out from afar.  Just how I want my leather boots to be 🙂

What do you think?  Did I make the right choice?  Let me know!

I’m sooo happy!  Uh.  Oh!  I really think I’m addicted to DMs.  Getting the first pair I mentioned above is still an option.
