December 6, 2012 – Paolo’s 100th Day :)

Stained glass inside the Xavier Chapel

Stained glass inside the Xavier Chapel

Yesterday was my 8 year old nephew’s 100th day.  We had a simple mass offered to him in his school.  The whole family was there, his classmates, his bestfriends, his seatmate, and his teachers.  We can truly feel how well loved our little Paolo is both at home as well as in school, and the whole family would really like to thank everyone for the love and prayers our Paolo has been receiving.  It is indeed overflowing 🙂

Today, the wife of my dear dear friend, Archie, sent me a message over Facebook — and here was her message to me (verbatim) 🙂

Hi Ade,

I forgot to message you yesterday nakatulog kasi ako (I fell asleep), hehehe. I prayed/talked with your Pao last night, siya yung last kong kinausap (he was the last person I talked to) :). Waking up now, he came to mind again. Now as I’m browsing thru FB, I found this poem (on the page of a friend’s friend – lumabas lang kasi sa newsfeed ko (it just appeared on my newsfeed)), and I felt he wanted me to share this with you and his parents.

Active pa rin pala sina Archie and Pao sa FB 🙂 (Archie and Pao are still active in FB)

Hugs, Aimee

I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below With tiny lights, like Heaven’s stars, reflecting on the snow The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away that tear. For I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear. But the sounds of music can’t compare with the Christmas choir up here. I have no words to tell you the joy their voices bring. For it is beyond description to hear the angels sing.

I know how much you miss me; I see the pain inside your heart. But I am not so far away, we really aren’t apart. I cannot tell you of the splendour or the peace inside this place Can you imgine Christmas with our Saviour, face to face?

I will ask him to light your spirit as I tell him of your love So then pray for one another as you lift your eyes above. So be happy for me, dear ones, you know I hold you dear. And be glad I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

I sent you each a special gift, from my heavenly home above. I sent you each a memory of my undying love. After all, love is a gift more precious than pure gold It was always most important in the stories Jesus told.

Please love and keep each other, as my Father said to do For I can’t count the blessing or love He has for each of you. So have a Merry Christmas and wipe away that tear. Remember, I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

Again, thank you Aimee.  Thank you for your prayers and for telling Archie to look after our Paolo in heaven.  As I have mentioned in my reply to you in Facebook — The poem brought so much tears into my eyes.  Thank you for praying for Pao and I’m sure Archie met up with him in the gates of heaven yesterday.  I’m sure Archie’s teaching Pao more kalokohans (crazy stuff) now and I can sooo imagine the big smile on Pao’s face with his two big front teeth.  I really believe that this poem came from Pao 🙂

And to Paolo’s school (Xavier), Fr. Art Borja, classmates, bestfriends (Mathew and Reiley), seatmate (Sydney) and teachers, THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS for all the support, love and prayers you’ve been giving Paolo and the rest of the family.  We truly appreciate it!

Thank you.  Thank you.  Thank you.

Messages from Pao :)

I posted this photo in my facebook page this morning and I’ll post it once again here in my blog…

I don’t usually go thru my twitter timeline in the morning due to the numerous tweets from the night before. But the tweet of Cathy Babao with a link stopped right in the middle of the screen of my phone and without thinking,  I clicked it and it opened to a page with this message…

I immediately thought that it must be a message from our dear little Pao. Tomorrow is his 100th day. It has been 100 days since we lost him. It’s been 100 days since he said goodbye to us. It’s been 100 days since we’ve been trying to move on with our lives.

I know messages from heaven come in different forms and mediums. Who would have thought a message like this would come to me via my twitter account. 😉

Oh! And I thought that that was the only message I’ll get from Pao today. No, that was not all. Every night, I flip open my Q&A Journal to jot down my entry for the day and this was the question in my journal for today, December 5…

Coincidence?  I really don’t know but I would want to think it was Pao’s way of letting me remember him and letting me know that he’s ok and that I should be ok as well.

Don’t worry, Pao. Coco’s trying her best. We all are.  But always remember,  no matter how long it takes, we’ll always miss you and love you. You’ll forever be our Paoie. Love you!

Ps. To whoever gets to read this blog entry, please say a little prayer for our Pao. Thanks in advance!  🙂

Remembering and Missing Pao :,(

Today is Pao’s 49th day.  It has been 49 days since I lost a nephew.  It has been 49 days since my brother and sister-in-law lost a son.  It has been 49 days since my family lost a little boy who has played a big, big role in our lives…

We Miss You Pao!

Yes.  It’s been 49 days since my whole family has been trying our best to move on with our lives.  We know that life will never be the same as we’re missing a little boy’s face, smiling at us.  We’ve been trying our best in putting on a smile on our faces as we know that we still have a good life to live and look forward to.  No matter how hard it is, we’re all trying… we’re all trying our best.  That’s how it should be and that’s how life is.

Pao, life will never be the same without you but we’ll continue to enjoy life the way you would have lived your life.  Your smiles, giggles, laughters, your two big front teeth, lego building, nerf gun playing, kinect dancing will only be some of the things we’ll miss about you, but most of all, we’ll miss your kind and good heart which has touched our lives every single day.  We love you sooo much!

Again, thank you to everyone who continue to pray for our little Paolo.  My whole family appreciates it very much.  You know who you are 🙂

And to whoever gets to read this blog entry, please do say a little prayer for our little Paolo.  Thanks in advance!

Majestic Anniversary 2012!

Can you still remember the buzz when Resorts World Manila opened last 2009?  Yes, buzz on how grand, beautiful and huge it was going to be?  I still do as I can still remember how I bugged my husband into bringing me to RW to check it out!  Haha!  For a shopaholic like me, it was definitely a place I had to check out ASAP!

And believe it or not, it has been 3 years since they opened here in Manila!  How time flies!!!

Of course, with something so grand, an anniversary entails something grand and majestic as well!

From August 26 to September 2, experience their week-long 3rd anniversary celebration with exciting performances, food fairs, parties, MALL SALE (yes, those magic words make me smile), raffles and many many many more!  Check out the list of activities they have lined up fit for a king/queen/prince/princess!

I’m so sure you there’s something in the event schedule fit for you!  As for me, aside from the Mall Sale which will run from August 27-September 2,  I will surely drop by Make-Up Designory Manila’s booth!  Woohoo!  How will I be able to resist checking out exclusive discounts on make-up courses and products!?!?  Happiness indeed!  And I heard they’re also offering free make-up consultations in their booth!  Yipeeyayay!  I love make-up!  So excited! 🙂

Got some free time?  See you there!!!

Make-Up Designory Manila booth is located at The Plaza 2nd floor New Port Mall Resorts World Manila, from 12noon til 12midnight.

Pets Need Help Too…

If you haven’t heard (read previous blog entry here), some parts of The Philippines have been declared as under state of calamity the past few days.  Relief goods have been prepared in different municipalities to help people who have been hit bad by the monsoon.  Filipinos have been helping each other recover from this calamity.

If you’ve been following my blog, I’m sure you know that I really have a soft spot for pets, particularly dogs.  So I’m posting this on behalf of Dogs and the City to help them spread the word.  Let’s not forget that pets need our help too!

Please repost or retweet if you can.  Thanks!
