Time To Have A Vacation :)

A lot of things have happened in my life the past few months, both good and bad. But at the end of the day, I still thank God for a great life He has given me… a great family who supports me in everything I do and reliable friends whom I can always count on.

After having busy days and sleepless nights, my husband and I finally found the time to get out of our busy schedules and relax. For this, I still thank God for this opportunity.

So this is going to be our home for the next few days…

And with this great view…

I can’t help but fall in love with this place.  This is our 2nd time here and I am still in awe on how beautiful and relaxing this place is…

Definitely a place made for both young and old. See how they made sure they have a play area for kids?

And of course,  I just had to take a photo with this cute giant chess set. Haha!

Thinking of visiting Panglao for some sun, fun and relaxation? Make sure you check out The Bellevue Resort, Bohol — definitely a resort worth visiting! ♥♥♥

Ps. You get that cute puca shell necklace upon arrival at the airport 😉

How I Spent My 2012 Birthday :)

Happy birthday to me!!!

This year, we really had nothing planned. My husband asked me if I wanted to go on a trip but the laziness in me opted to just stay in the Metro.

This is what I chose to do on my brithday — and it was all worth it!

First up, a yummy, yummy breakfast! Who could say NO to kesong puti, grilled ensaymada and hot chocolate from Mary Grace? Did I mention that the weather was perfect that we chose to stay outdoors? So heavenly!

Since we didn’t have any plans, we decided to grab coffee in Starbucks after breakfast and just laze around and people watch 😉

Then it was meant to be! I saw a girl carrying a Cotton On paper bag and decided to check out their newly opened branch! Luckily, October 6 was the soft opening of their Bonifacio Central branch and they gave away P500 coupons which you can use on that same day! I grabbed all the clothes I wanted to try on (the line to the fitting rooms was quite long as they only have 5 fitting rooms) and ended up with a dress and a top. Happiness!

With a minimum of P2000 purchase, you get a free Cotton On mug, button pin and cotton candy (I was happiest with the cotton candy, haha!)

Then at 2pm, we decided to meet up with my family to have our late lunch at Emperor’s Dimsum and Tea House (Greenhills)! Have you tried out this restaurant? Oh boy! You should! Their dimsums are oh-so-yummy! My personal favorite, shrimp rice cake and taosi spareribs! Yummmm!

Such a happy birthday!!! Suuuper! Life is indeed GOOD!

Majestic Anniversary 2012!

Can you still remember the buzz when Resorts World Manila opened last 2009?  Yes, buzz on how grand, beautiful and huge it was going to be?  I still do as I can still remember how I bugged my husband into bringing me to RW to check it out!  Haha!  For a shopaholic like me, it was definitely a place I had to check out ASAP!

And believe it or not, it has been 3 years since they opened here in Manila!  How time flies!!!

Of course, with something so grand, an anniversary entails something grand and majestic as well!

From August 26 to September 2, experience their week-long 3rd anniversary celebration with exciting performances, food fairs, parties, MALL SALE (yes, those magic words make me smile), raffles and many many many more!  Check out the list of activities they have lined up fit for a king/queen/prince/princess!

I’m so sure you there’s something in the event schedule fit for you!  As for me, aside from the Mall Sale which will run from August 27-September 2,  I will surely drop by Make-Up Designory Manila’s booth!  Woohoo!  How will I be able to resist checking out exclusive discounts on make-up courses and products!?!?  Happiness indeed!  And I heard they’re also offering free make-up consultations in their booth!  Yipeeyayay!  I love make-up!  So excited! 🙂

Got some free time?  See you there!!!

Pets Need Help Too…

If you haven’t heard (read previous blog entry here), some parts of The Philippines have been declared as under state of calamity the past few days.  Relief goods have been prepared in different municipalities to help people who have been hit bad by the monsoon.  Filipinos have been helping each other recover from this calamity.

If you’ve been following my blog, I’m sure you know that I really have a soft spot for pets, particularly dogs.  So I’m posting this on behalf of Dogs and the City to help them spread the word.  Let’s not forget that pets need our help too!

Please repost or retweet if you can.  Thanks!

Not Even A Typhoon :(

Today, August 7, 2012, The Philippines is experiencing non-stop rains.  It has been raining since yesterday and it hasn’t stopped.  A lot of roads are now flooded, school and work have been suspended, people are asked to stay home as much as possible.

What is happening?  I’m really worried that another “Ondoy” (a strong typhoon which happened last 2009) is happening.  This has been bugging me since 3am.  I barely slept.  Now, I’m in zombie-mode since I only had 3 hours of sleep.

I’m grateful that I’m living on higher grounds compared to others but I feel sad and sorry for those who lost their homes, who had to spend the day/night under this cold and crazy weather and who are suffering from all that’s happening.

To those who can still go out and help in their own municipalities, please do — but always think of your own safety first!

To whoever reads this blog entry, please say a short prayer to everyone affected by this monsoon.  Yes, it’s not even a typhoon and we’re already experiencing this :,(  It really breaks my heart.

We really pray that this ends soon.  Please let the rain stop so everyone affected may start to recover from this crazy weather.

Keep dry and safe everyone and let’s keep on praying!

Lord, please keep us safe.

Ps. Climate Change… Let’s all take this seriously.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Dreaming

Dreaming. Last Sunday, Donna, one of my dear friends from The Breakfast Club decided to celebrate her 27th birthday in a different way. Instead of throwing a party, she decided to do an outreach program and spend an afternoon with babies and toddlers in an orphanage, Home For The Angels.

Details about our outreach program afternoon in another blog entry but this is my interpretation for this week’s photo challenge. Dreaming… I’m sure all of the kids in this orphanage are dreaming that someday, they’ll be adopted and be a part of a happy family. A family who will love them, take care of them and be their everything. Everyone deserves to have someone whom they’ll call, FAMILY.

These kids will keep on dreaming and praying that someday, this dream will come true… And I still believe that DREAMS DO COME TRUE 🙂

And We Sailed Away…

June 16, 2012. My husband and I, along with some good friends, decided to go sailing. It was a last minute trip which we decided to do on a nothing-much-better-to-do weekend 🙂

We packed our swimming gear and headed to Taal Lake Yacht Club on an early Saturday morning (we left Manila at 6am! Zzzzz…).

It was an easy drive up to Tagaytay with a few stopovers along SLEX to grab some breakfast and coffee.

We got to the Yacht Club at around 9am and since we didn’t want to waste any time, we decided to just go out and start sailing! We rented out a Hobie21 for P4,200 for a whole day of sailing. Woohooo!

Notice my nails? They match the color of my vest and whistle! Love it!

It was really a lot of fun! While the boys sailed, I just sat there, took a lot of photos, enjoyed the view and the breeze on my face. Hihi… That is what I call RELAXATION 🙂

And this was my view for the whoooole day… Haaayyy… Nice huh?

So calm…

See the seagulls? 🙂 🙂 🙂

After being out for an hour, we decided to head back to have our lunch and on our way back, the wind just stopped blowing. Haha! We got stuck in the middle of the lake for around 10 minutes. With nothing else to do, the boys decided to jump into the lake for a swim while the girls took some more photos 🙂

After having lunch and a few minutes of rest, we decided to head back out. The afternoon wind blew stronger which made our Hobie21 sail faster. It was a fun, fun, fuuuuun day! Water splashing all over, strong wind on our faces and Mr. Sun shining oh-so-brightly (equals to major sunburn on my legs! Pfft! Stupidity sucks! Forgot to put sunblock on my legs when I actually covered my face so well with it!)! What a perfect way to spend the day!

My husband had always wanted to learn how to sail and it was really a great experience for both of us, so I guess this is going to be the start of a new sport for the both of us. Let’s see 🙂 Happiness!

Next trip, I’ll bring our Little One with us!

What to wear:

1. Bathing Suit

2. Rash Guard

3. Board Shorts

4. Booties (I wore my skele-toes)
