Outfits for Every Day of the Week (China/HK Day 2)

Day 2. Wedding day. I looove weddings, what more if it is the wedding of your brother-in-law 🙂

Weddings in China are really simple. Not much dressing up like what we have here in the Philippines (some were just in jeans) but you’re still guaranteed to have a lot of fun and leave the gathering with a happy tummy! 🙂

On the day of the wedding, I changed into 3 different outfits (Teehee!) I just mixed and matched some of the pieces throughout the day 🙂

What I wore :

Morning (breakfast) – Topshop light knitted top, blue/green bandage skirt (bought online), Marks and Spencer opaque tights, Roxy black boots

Noon (wedding reception) – Topshop light knitted, Victoria’s Secret faux fur vest, Forever21 black lace maxi skirt, Marks and Spencer opaque tights, Roxy black boots

Night (dinner reception) – Zara turtleneck shirt, Express.com faux leather jacket, blue/green bandage skirt, Marks and Spencer opaque tights, Roxy black boots

My Loot #2 : Blue Blue Jeans

It’s been almost 3 months since my last blog entry. Yes, I’ve been a bad, bad blogger … Tsk! Tsk! But I’m back and I’m back for good! 🙂

Moving on… so what else was inside my box which arrived last March?

Loot #2, guess how many pairs of jeans are in the stash?!!?

OH. MY. Did I just hoard?!?! I knew I needed new pairs of jeans but this is CRAZY!   To think I only wear jeans to work on Fridays and rarely on weekends!  Tsk!  Tsk!

But after trying them on I was glad I got them 🙂 They are so worth it! Perfect fit, perfect color, perfect soft denim material (I love it!) and perfect style!  It reminded me how comfortable it is to be in jeans!

If everyday were a Friday, then I would have a pair of jeans to wear for each day of the week — plus an extra!  😉

Is It Cold Out There?

You might be wondering: “What the hell is she thinking? A leather jacket in a tropical country?!?”  
 
I know it’s a little too hot to wear leather jackets in Manila but who cares! :p

I just love it!  It’s not as thick as you think it is which makes it great!  It goes great with anything!  From shorts, to jeans, to skirts, to dresses!  Love it!

Golden Gifts for Me!

Pasalubong (pasal´ubong n. a present — usually given by one arriving from a trip)
— meaning picked up from Tagalog Dictionary

 

We’re always excited to receive pasalubong from family and friends who travel. Although we don’t really expect to receive something, it’s always nice to know that they thought of you while they were miles away.
 

Here are the Golden Gifts (because both of them were gold) I got from a very dear friend when she came home from her long US vacation:  

 
 

1. Gold Knotted Multi-Chained Necklace (from Express.com)
 

 
 
 

Ooooh! I totally love this necklace! It can turn any simple outfit to total fab! It is made of shiny dark gold chain strands intertwined to create that knotted look. Definitely, a great addition to outfits!

 
 
 

2. Gold Headwrap with Gems (from Goody)  

My friend and I are totally crazy over headbands and headwraps with nice embellishments.  When I say “crazy”, I mean hoarding crazy 🙂

No wonder why this headwrap made it to the bag. 🙂

The only downside is that it’s a little too tight but it’s manageable. My friend and I will have the garter band adjusted a bit.

Maybe someday, we’ll graduate from using Evita Peroni and Goody headwraps and move on to headwraps by Jennifer Behr.  🙂 *dreamy eyes*
